Does GOD Exist...?

One of the reasons I decided to start writing again was because I had the most heartbreaking conversation with one of my twitter followers, she was talking about how she stopped going to church because series of events had led her to wonder if God really exists. She recently lost her dad whom she loved so much and that was the last straw for her. After sympathizing with her, I then proceeded to tell her about my own unfortunate experiences, particularly what happened to me when I was on my way back to school to go write my final year exams after a long strike, she was dumbfounded... she said "Wow!!! you're a strong woman" I laughed because that was only the tip of the iceberg... Hopefully I get to share my experiences with you guys someday.

Anyway, my point is, we all go through challenges, there's no living, breathing human being who can say they've never been through challenging times before, we are all dealing with something or have dealt with something in the past but does that really mean God doesn't exist or that He is responsible for the bad things that happen to us? She also mentioned the evil things happening in the world, like how Christians are being killed in some part of the world, why would God allow that to happen?

I cannot tell you the reason God allows these things to happen to us but I can tell you He is not responsible for them because the will of God is very clear in John 10:10- "The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]"- AMP. You see, God's will is for you to enjoy life in abundance, till it overflows, till you say ah God it's okay now you're blessing me too much I cannot take this anymore!!! Bless someone else for a change... That is his will for you and you need to know this and never forget it, otherwise the devil will keep messing with your mind and making you believe God doesn't love you.

The devil is responsible for most of the evil things happening in this world, he is the "thief" being referred to in John 10:10. Some other things that happen to us may be as a result of our bad decisions because there is something called consequences, if you try to fulfill a God given desire in a non- God sanctioned way, you will hurt yourself (that's a topic for another day).

Look God exists, He is God, He is the I AM, He has a plan (purpose) for your life and trust me it is a GOOD one! Yes he could have stopped those bad things from happening to you but I'm telling you that if He allowed them, it is because He knows it cannot affect his purpose for your life. You cannot know all the million things God has saved you from, you only know the bad things you can see, you may not know if you were meant to be involved in a terrible accident that could have crippled you but God made you step out of your house just a minute late to prevent you from that because He knows his purpose for your life may be something that requires a lot of physical activities.

That is not to say if you have been involved in such accident you can't fulfill God's purpose for your life, NO! It simply means that His purpose for your life is not something that requires a lot of physical activities, so that accident is not going to be a barrier, you will fulfill God's purpose for your life, if you trust Him. Bottom line is God will not allow anything happen that would disrupt his plan (purpose) for your life. He may not have been responsible for that bad thing that happened, but I'm telling you He is going to use it now, He is a God that is capable of making ALL things work together for our good and everything you have been through will only end up pointing you to His great plan for you.

Finally, even God warned us ahead of time "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world."- John 16:33 AMP. So yes being a Christian does not exempt you from challenges but it assures you of Victory, you will overcome at the end of the day because Jesus has already overcome the world. You are more than a Conqueror, always be joyful, never stop praying, be thankful in all circumstances. True victory is not when you have won all your battles, true victory is when all those nonsense happen but you are at peace... If the devil cannot get you to worry or lose your peace, then he has already lost.

Don't forget to share to someone who might need this, your social media pages etc... xoxo.
