So I heard a song yesterday, I think the title is "Trust in You by Anthony Brown", the first line got my attention instantly "You did not create me to worry". Then the song went further to say, "but you created me to worship daily" wow... and it just took me back to the sermon I heard on Sunday talking about purpose, what is your purpose on this earth, why did God create you? The answer is found in "Revelations 4:11- Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created". You were created for God's pleasure, to worship him, to honour him with your life, with your platform (what you do, where you work), let your light so shine to the world, people should see that there's something different about you, you are excellent at what you do, be conscious of the blessings you carry because you are a child of God and let that radiate joy and peace in your life, you were not created to worry.
See, God's original plan for man was not for man to toil upandan and worry about his next meal. He put man in the garden of Eden literally surrounded with everything he needs to live a good life, he told him he can freely eat of every tree in the garden (see enjoyment) except that one tree of the knowledge of good and evil. He gave man dominion over every animal and said I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat- Genesis 1:26-29. And all the work man had to do was to dress and keep (to tend and watch over) all these things that were already provided for him, and that he should just be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth and subdue it!
Wait... I am not sure you are understanding me, imagine being in a house full of all the food you'll ever need in this life, and in your backyard you have variety of animals and plants than you can ever think of eating till you die and your children's children's children will still keep eating from them. And you have this gorgeous wife, oh the bone of your bone, the electron to your nucleus and all both of you have to do is to just take care of the plants and animals, harvest them, cook and chop, knack apkako 10 times daily (sorry I meant replenish the earth), Doctor's prescription (in this case our Father's prescription) we gotta be fruitful and multiply right? Me I'll just be Netflixing and chilling all day, then I'll ask Hubby, honey what animal should we use for asun today? My guy will say "Lion" he will hunt it, and I'll just prepare this wonderful asun I know how to make for dinner and continue Netflixing. Kai! I'm just imagining lion meat now... it will be so juicy, abi what do you think? I want!!!
Okay be serious and bring your mind back to the word of God, lol! So as I was saying... I know when Eve messed up by eating that forbidden fruit, man became cursed to toil so hard before he can eat for the rest of his life. But all of that changed when JESUS came to this earth to save us, he not only saved us from our sins, he saved us from the curses. If you are a believer in Christ, you have none of the curses but ALL of the BLESSINGS. See I know you still have to work hard, you can't be lazy on yo' ass (pardon my french) all day and expect the blessings to come to you, you've gotta put your hand into something for God to be able to bless it but there's a difference now... yes you have to work hard, work smart but now you don't have to worry while you're at it because you know you are already blessed, as a child of God it's your right.
God is a very good God you know, do you really think he just created you so that you can come to this life and suffer for the rest of your life? I mean think about it, even you as a man in your fleshly wicked body, you still find yourself saying, ah I want to make money first before I marry, why? because you don't want your wife and kids to come to this earth to suffer in your care. How much more the good God that created you??? See I don't know about you but God didn't create me to suffer, I refuse to worry, I will go out there and do my thing, put my passion into my work, I don't care how long it will take for my hard work to pay off but I WILL NOT WORRY!!!
Okay that was intense... pause for a minute. This scripture changed my mindset forever and I want you to digest it too if you haven't. "That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life- whether you have enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And Aren't you far more valuable to him than they are? And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don't worry about these things, saying "What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear? These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows your needs. Matthew 6:25-32".
I'm telling you the word works but you just gotta believe it in your heart, all you have to do is ask and it shall be given unto you. You have not because you ask not. And even when you ask and you don't get it immediately don't stop believing, don't lose hope or faith. Don't be afraid to ask God for anything at all, he always answers, the worst that can happen is that you may not get exactly what you prayed for but only because he has a better plan. Remember his thoughts are not our thoughts, neither his ways our ways, only humble yourself and ask him for anything but trust that he has great plans for you, desire his will above yours and you will be happy in this life.
Once again from the genesis... You were not created to worry or fear, you were created to worship God.
Am so motivated by this right up. Nice one.
