The Miracle is in The Conflict

Sometimes you pray for something but if you're not careful, you may not recognize the answer when it finally shows up because you were expecting the answered prayer to look or come in a certain way. I am beginning to learn as I grow in my walk with God that often times our greatest miracle is hidden in our greatest conflict. Oh you were expecting the miracle to come in a nicely packaged gift from Santa but sorry to burst your bubble, God doesn't work like that because He is sneaky (I mean that in a good way). How do I know this? For example, Jesus Christ who is the greatest miracle of all time, the greatest gift to humanity, a King, a Savior, the Messiah. When God sent a King like that to be born into this earth, guess what? He was born in a Manger!!! (where animals feed) Luke 2:1-20. I can't believe this... Why can't Jesus be born in the finest hospital in Bethlehem? I mean He is "The Son of God" I don't understand. But you see, I have come to understand that God's ways are not our ways, He is the all wise and all knowing God.

What of the story of David?-1 Samuel 16. God bypassed all his fine, hefty and able bodied brothers to anoint David a shepherd boy as the King. You would think God would crown him king the next day and dethrone Saul who was the current king but no, God made David wait for about 20 years and even though he is an anointed king, he worked as Saul's servant for all those years.
What about the story of Joseph? Genesis 37. He was meant to save the land of Egypt from famine, he was destined to be a very important personnel in Egypt, Pharaoh's right hand man but instead of God to majestically announce him, take him out of his father's house as soon as he comes of age and appoint him as Pharaoh's right hand man. God sneaked him into Egypt as a slave when he was just a boy, then he became a prisoner for many years, before he became Pharaoh's second in command. Doesn't this just humble you?

Isn't it clear that God is just too smart and too unpredictable? You have to learn to trust him in all circumstances and stop trying to figure everything out. Imagine if David was trying to figure out why he had to be a servant for 20 years even though he knows in his heart that he is an anointed king. Imagine if Joseph, despite the wonderful dream he had as a boy of his brothers stars bowing to him and yet he was a slave and prisoner for many years. Imagine if they tried to figure everything out, they would have ran mad because God's ways are too mysterious for us to understand.
What dream has God placed in your heart? What promise did He give you? How is He making you wait? How does it look right now? Impossible I guess? You just don't see how it's going to happen but guess what, it's not your job to know HOW, you just need to know WHO (God).

I've had a glimpse of God's mysteriousness in my life and till date I'm still trying to absorb it. For many Months I prayed and prayed about something I wanted to change, seemed like I had no control over it anymore, so I gave up control and just trusted God to do it. But I had an idea of how He was going to do it, matter of fact I found myself one or two times trying to assist God when it looked like it was about to happen the way I pictured it HaHa! But when God finally answered the prayer it came as a big conflict, that ordinarily if I wasn't grounded in the word of God I would have created a mess out of the situation cos I just wasn't having any of that nonsense. But because I have learned to bypass my emotions, be thankful and rejoice in all circumstances, it was in my rejoicing that it suddenly occurred to me that "wait a  minute!" This is an answer to the prayer I have been praying for Months, I laughed so HARD at how sneaky God can be sha, I laughed and laughed my lungs were almost failing, I'm still laughing as I write this!!! God is just wonderful, wonderful and wonderful.

No wonder he said we should rejoice in all circumstances- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. This is because He knows that He is guilty of often presenting our greatest miracle in form of a conflict, so if you're downcast and moody about it, you will fail to see the miracle. So now, I embrace conflict, I love conflict, I live for conflict, I'm looking for my miracle in every conflict, in every seemingly difficult situation.

So, what are you conflicted about today, have you paused for a second to rejoice and thank God for it? Chances of you hearing from God are high when you are joyful. So cheer up and don't miss your miracle. Give proper perspective to things, your perspective should always come from the angle that God is for you, He is with you and He wants you to WIN. So when you look at that conflict, see it as working for your good, then you would find the miracle in it. Do all the crisis demands and then stand firmly in your place of faith. Selah!
