Everything Must Go!

When your favorite woman storms the stage of your favorite church, you know it's about to be turntttt! Last Sunday, Sarah Jakes Roberts ministered in Elevation church and I can't get over it. Chilllleee! (in Sarah's voice), if you know you know lol! Many women teach or share but this woman preaches!!! Like father, like daughter...

"Everything must go" her sermon title. My God! I was in actual tears... I mean pillow soaking, eyes gouging, nose running, chest burning kind of hot tears. The presence of God was so strong on the word and when His presence takes over, there's just no holding back.

Such a timely and accurate message... God bless you Ma.

When something gets in the way of your relationship with God, it must go! It doesn't matter what it is.

Sometimes we make dumb decisions (no offense), we get into works of the flesh trying to help God fulfill His purpose for us. Our bad decisions have a way of getting in the way of our relationship with God. When things don't work out like we hoped, our faith gets stripped away. You forget that God's ways are not our ways, His ways are higher. You get weary, not be as active as you used to be for God. You get tired of believing, then it gets to the point where you're just numb, can't feel a thing, not sure you're hearing from God anymore, you don't know what else to believe and you desperately seek comfort.

Ofcourse any comfort you seek outside God only leads to destruction. So it's taking you further and further away from God but because God's grace is too sufficient, He will let you have your free will but will not let you get away from Him. He loves you way too much to leave you to your destruction, His presence goes with you everywhere. If you indulge in that destructive means of comfort long enough, soon you will hit rock bottom. At that state your heart is humbled, you know that you can't go lower than this, your only option is to look up. And that is where breakthrough begins, when you reach the end of yourself.

'And a little later those who stood by came up and said to Peter, "Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you"- Matthew 26:73'

Peter denies Jesus but they could tell he's been walking with Jesus because of the way he talks. When you've been walking with Jesus long enough, it reflects in the way you talk, no matter what life throws at you or how low you go, deep down you still believe that something good can happen to you at any moment. Even if you don't feel like it because it doesn't look like it at all, but for God's grace, you can't give up even if you tried.

"I know you say your life is over but your speech is betraying you because you still dragged yourself to church, limping but you're still here... I think you have more hope than you're letting on, you have more faith than you're making us believe and because your speech is betraying you, I can tell you've been walking with Jesus and He's gotten deep on the inside of you"

God is saying "So you've hit rock bottom? Good... the lower you go, the deeper I can build my foundation. Everything that is not my will must go, to give room for what I have planned for you. You've reached the end of yourself, now can I fulfill my purpose for you?"

God is very much in the business of rebuilding ruined cities. You may have made a lot of mistakes and you're wondering 'can anything good come from this?' When God gets ready to restore your glory, it will be as though the mistakes never happened. God uses the most unlikely situations to fulfill His greatest purpose. So if your situation seems bad and beyond repair, congratulations! You're the best candidate for a big breakthrough that will blow your mind and minister to the hearts of everyone who hears your story.
Keep believing, keep praying, keep reminding God of His promises to you. I can't wait to hear your testimonies. Your Glory is being restored!!!
